Real Team-Building
We're not big on "climb a rope and Kumbaya" team-building. Great teams, whether comprised of athletes, military commandos, or executives, are created by four things: (1) an intense passion to achieve a specific goal; (2) A shared vision on how that goal can best be attained, (3) a fundamental mutual trust in the abilities, perspectives, and intentions of teammates; and (4) great coaching—which challenges the group to be better tomorrow than they were today. We call the process of building these qualities into an organization alignment, and we think alignment is a part of every high-performing team.
The entire 90-day RED™ process is designed to significantly increase the alignment of the strategy team. The aligning process begins four weeks prior to the RED™ Summit, when each strategy team member completes a RED™ Strategy Sketch™, outlining his/her perspective on the current state and future potential of the organization. By compiling the Sketch™ results, the RED™ can design the RED™ Summit sessions in a way that focuses the strategy team on opportunties for increased alignment.

Individual and Executive Team Assessment
Well in advance of the Strategy Summit™, strategy team members also take the Test of Attentional and Interpersonal Style (TAIS), and receive a detailed 26-page report on their unique performance profiles. Unlike other psychological profiles, which focus primarily on personality types, TAIS is designed to profile the real performance characteristics of individuals and teams, and to provide specific and pragmatic feedback on: (1) the kinds of mistakes that are most likely for a particular individual or group profile; and (2) a roadmap for how the individual and group can most effectively increase alignment and performance. More can be learned about the TAIS at The TAIS Advantage. Or you can learn how you can take the test online by clicking on Take the TAIS.
